TONE STITH - FLY - OPEN VERSE

There’s something about a song hitting you the very first time you hear it. No build-up, no second listen needed—it just lands. That’s exactly what happened when I came across "Fly" by Tone Stith.

So when Tone Stith opened up

he "Fly" open verse challenge, it felt like an easy decision. I was already connected to the record, already understood the emotion behind it. Getting the chance to step into that world and add my own voice to it? That’s the kind of opportunity you don’t overthink—you just create.

What I really appreciate about this moment is how music does what it always does best: it connects. Even coming from a slightly different place in life, the message still resonates. That’s the beauty of it. A good song doesn’t care about age, background, or where you’re at—it just meets you where you are.

And that’s what made this fun for me. I got to take something that already meant something to me and put my own perspective on it. My own feeling. My own story layered into it.

If I’m being real, that’s also the bigger picture. One day, I want people to hear my music and feel that same connection. I want them to want to jump on a verse, reinterpret it, and make it theirs. Because that’s when you know the music is really alive—it’s not just yours anymore.

For now, this is my take. My moment with it.

Let’s see where it goes.
